Hondo

Penwood's Hondo Crouch
June 19, 1987 - May 16, 1997

On Friday, May 16, 1997, my beloved Hondo crossed to the Rainbow Bridge. He went peacefully in my arms, with one last kiss and a promise that we would be together again.

Hondo was a classy gentleman, with an indomitable spirit. That spirit will live on in my heart forever. Hondo was a true ambassador for the boxer breed. His charm and innate sense of humor, never failed to win the hearts of all he met.

Hondo's name was picked out after a visit to Luckenbach, Texas. He was named in honor of the legendary Texan, Hondo Crouch whose statue stands watch over the Luckenbach General store.
